Rationale

Rationale

Our Neighbours day target audience is younger, modern kiwi suburban families. Our event will be a fun, active, and social event. We communicated this to the audience by using bright bold colours and a simplistic vector design. Our layout with the road translating through all of the different media, and visual materials are playful, yet sophisticated which catches the attention of both kids and adults.

Our poster displays the activities that will be taking place at the event, and a call to action by displaying information about the event, and how to learn more about it. The poster displays a call to action by providing event details, and a link to the website where people can get further information.

The website is not specific to our event, it is more generic to allow others to create their own event from the website. We encourage people to come along to Neighbours Day by displaying the benefits of attending through a playful, active parallax design. The moving design is appealing to kids and adults and also evokes the positive attitude of the Neighbours Day.

Our flyer is intended to be informational on one side, and illustrative and fun on the other side. The bottom section is intended to be kept in people’s homes after the event and the double-sided design displays emergency numbers on one side and collected information on the other.

Another playful element of our design is the nametag, where people will be able to apply stickers that represent the members of their family. This fun for the kids, but is also a great visual element to understand your neighbours at first glance.
